ARM spent the third quarter getting ready for Rotoplas 2026 and the biggest celebration of our 50th anniversary, while organizing three webinars, an Introduction to Rotomolding seminar in Minneapolis, and welcoming nine new members.
This quarter included:
- Announcing Matt Bushman of Plasticraft and Dr. Gareth McDowell of 493K Limited as the newest members of the Rotational Molding Hall of Fame. Both will be inducted November 19 at the Annual Meeting Awards Dinner in New Orleans.
- Answering how to optimize rotomolding machine cycles in the Ask Dr. Nick series on our blog.
- Bringing the Introduction to Rotomolding seminar to Minneapolis on August 19. Twenty-four people joined Dru Laws for the day. One injection molding veteran, new to roto, said he took away “basically everything.” All 2026 seminars are sponsored by ATHENA Mechanical Supply, home of RotoMesh.
- Collecting historical photos from members for ARM’s 50th anniversary. Keep them coming.
- Dedicating a newsletter issue to ARM’s suppliers, including our first Market Watch summary of industry market reports.
- Growing Rotoplas 2026 to more than 70 exhibiting companies from the USA, Canada, Mexico, India, China, Italy, Belgium, and more. Join us November 17-19.
- Hosting a Rotomolding Leaders interview with Tom Innis speaking with API President and COO Jeremy Williams on July 13.
- Opening entries for the 2026 Rotoplas Product Competition and the ARM Safety Recognition Awards.
- Running three live webinars:
- Sessions two and three of Technical Director Dr. Nick Henwood’s polymer science mini-series: “What Rotomolders Need to Know About Polymer Density” and “Polymer Flow.” The Additives session takes place October 13. All are available on demand.
- “This Is Roto,” with Tony Short of Elkhart Plastics walking members through our rotational molding presentation so they can give it to customers, students, and new hires
- Sharing a new issue of RotoTrends with ten rotomolded case studies from ten countries.
