Dear friends,
In my first message of the year, I told you we would celebrate our 50th anniversary all year long. I am happy to report that we are doing exactly that.
Our Executive Forum in Belfast was a rewarding experience. While circumstances required us to adjust our plans and hold sessions at our hotel rather than on the Queen’s University campus, the spirit of the event was everything I hoped it would be. Belfast has been part of our industry’s story for decades. So much of the research and technical knowledge that helped rotomolding grow into what it is today came from that city and its university. Many of the experts shaping our industry were educated and developed there. We were also able to tour Queen’s University’s Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre, a brand new facility dedicated to manufacturing and engineering. Walking through that building, you could feel the ambition. It was built to reinvigorate Northern Ireland’s industrial potential and to prepare the region’s manufacturing sector for the technology and skills challenges ahead. That is exactly the kind of forward thinking our industry needs, and it was inspiring to see it up close. For those of you who joined us, I think you felt it too.
For all of our members, our new website continues to gain momentum. Members are exploring the improved tools and resources, and I encourage all of you to do the same. Whether you are looking for technical content, online training, or ways to promote your company through our directories, the website is designed to work for you. Log in regularly and make the most of what your membership offers. You might be surprised by what you find.
And then, dear friends, comes New Orleans.
Rotoplas 2026 will take place this November and will serve as the centerpiece of our 50th Anniversary celebration. Planning is well underway, and I can tell you this will be a special one. We are bringing together rotomolders from across the world for education, networking, and the kind of celebration this milestone deserves. If you were with us for the 40th in New Orleans ten years ago, you know what this city does for our Roto Family. If you were not there, this is your year.

Conchita Miranda is General Director of Miraplastek, a leader in rotational molding with over 30 years of experience. The company exports to more than 10 countries and partners with major OEMs including Caterpillar and John Deere. She has served as a member of the Regional Economic Development and Nearshoring Advisory Council since November 2024. Miranda is President of the Association of Rotational Molders (ARM) and a member of the Rotational Molding Hall of Fame.
