The ARM Education Committee has designed the Quick Reference Funnel as an inexpensive, directional tool for comparing resin flow, rather than a precise instrument.
This new injection-molded funnel will be offered for free at Rotoplas 2024 and future ARM meetings, and its technical specifications will be available for others to manufacture.
The Quick Reference Funnel doesn’t replace the existing funnel used for the Flowability Test Method but provides a quick comparison tool for rotomolders. It also serves to promote the importance of dry flow testing.
The mold and funnels were manufactured by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, with color provided by Teknor Apex Company. The funnel was designed by Dru Laws, and tested by students at Brigham Young University Idaho.
