ARM Technical Director Nick Henwood to Increase Technical Value in ARM

ARM has moved to add significant value to membership in the Association by hiring Dr. Nick Henwood to serve as the ARM Technical Director. This appointment will improve and increase the technical content provided by ARM.

First and foremost, ARM members will see added technical value at our meetings, during our webinars, and on our website. Dr. Henwood will collect technical information from throughout the industry for ARM to disseminate to our members.

Dr. Nick Henwood will add value to ARM’s meetings, webinars, and website in his new role as ARM Technical Director.

Nick’s original degree was in Civil & Structural Engineering, but his PhD studies led him into various branches of chemical engineering. His first involvement with rotomolding came in the mid-80s, while working at Dow Chemical Europe.  He helped to develop Dow’s polyethylene roto grade slate, both technically and commercially.

From then on, he was hooked on rotomolding and, in 1992, he founded a UK-based rotomolding materials supplier, Matrix Polymers Limited.  Over the next 14 years, Matrix grew from a two-man outfit operating from Nick’s basement to a major European materials supply company.

In 2006, Nick sold his shares in Matrix and formed Rotomotive, a training and consultancy company.  Since then he has completed a large number of projects for rotomolder, OEM and end-user clients across the world.

Nick has been committed to the development and dissemination of rotomolding knowledge, through published technical papers and though contributions to rotomolding conferences worldwide.  He served a term on the Board of ARM, as a Supplier Director, in the early 2000’s.

Outside of rotomolding, Nick is a Key Volunteer for a major charity, Cancer Research UK and was recommended for their prestigious Flame of Hope Award in 2015.  He has been married to his wife Helen for 40 years, has 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

ARM is proud to announce that Dr. Henwood will bring his technical insight to ARM and our members.
